Ashley Manusos grew up in Northern Illinois playing travel ball and swimming competitively in the McHenry County Area.
She attended McHenry Community High School from 2005-2009 where she played four years of softball. During that time, she was a four-year varsity starter, three-time 110% Award Winner, freshman year All-Area Honorable Mention, and her senior season was an All-Conference and All-Area First Team Outfielder. Her team secured a Conference and Regional Championship title in 2007. Ashley was also nominated team Captain her senior year.
The start of her collegiate career began at McHenry County College where she was named All- Region and First Team All-Conference her freshman year. She .327 with a .981 fielding percentage. Her sophomore season, she played at Bluffton University under Heather Bruder scoring 20 runs with eight doubles, three triples, and 16 RBIs on the season. An Academic Career change brought her to finish out her collegiate career at the University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC). Between transfers, Ashley went back to McHenry County College for a season to become the Assistant Softball Coach at the NJCAA level. Ashley’s junior and senior year, she only allowed two errors defensively and was named NSIC’s Golden Glove in 2014. Academically, Ashley received a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Recreation Management.
Ashley has coaching experience at the NJCAA, Division III, and select softball levels. She has also served as a Softball Instructor in various locations throughout the country both offensively and defensively. She has actively involved in the recruiting space as an advisor for the last year, and as a coach for the last 13 years. She is also the Head Softball Coach at Park City High School. Ashley served fulltime for the Army National Guard from (2016-2023) while still involving herself in softball. In 2022, she received a Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership Studies with a concentration in Strategic and Organizational Communication. She is also a Department of Defense Victims Advocate and an Equal Opportunity Leader in the military.
