KELLEY YAKIWCHUK | UMPIRE IN CHIEF

Kelley was born and raised in Central Coast California. She was very passionate about sports and played softball and basketball throughout her life. At 15 her father was in a horrific accident that led the family to Utah.  She attended Mt. View High where she met her high school sweetheart Dustin Yakiwchuk. The two married and made their home in Pleasant Grove, UT. Kelley has worked in many facets of the beauty industry including as a Master Aesthetician. When Kelley and Dustin found out they were expecting their “MIRACLE BABY”, they decided it was time for Kelley to dedicate her time as a stay-at-home mom to their baby boy Jax. Kelley had a close relationship with her Father-in Law Don Yakiwchuk. Don was a well-known and respected Umpire in the softball community and personally trained Kelley and Dustin. Kelley is passionate about Officiating and works every event in remembrance of her father-in-law Don. “Don was a great teacher! I miss working beside him and truly appreciate the lessons he passed on to me and my family! Now I get to do the same with my husband and son”.

Kelly has worked many associations through-out her 11 years of Officiating. Stepping in as UIC with D1 Prospects was a natural fit. Being part of an organization that is truly for the Youth and for the game has been a breath of fresh air. We have an amazing team of umpires who are passionate about the game and remain student of their craft. We are always evaluating and learning from each other! I know we are already elevating this game and I look forward to this crazy, fun journey.
